The application window to the CfD Allocation Round 3 (AR3) opened today, 29 May. To apply for a CfD, applicants are required to register their company with the EMR Delivery Body CfD portal. Once registered, generators will be able to create and submit their CfD application on the EMR Delivery Body CfD portal. Registration and application will close on 18 June at 5pm.
In its coordination role on behalf of BEIS and CfD delivery partners, LCCC has provided an overview of the shortest and longest possible timelines for the round on the joint AR3 portal, see here. The Minor and Necessary Modification window has now closed and LCCC is assessing requests received. The next stages of the round – the application process through to auction and CfD award – is run by the EMR Delivery Body. The final stages of the round – issuing and signing of contracts with successful projects and completion of Initial Conditions Precedent – are run by LCCC.
Links to all information relevant to the round are provided on the joint resources portal here including BEIS’ final Budget Notice setting out the auction parameters for AR3, published on 1 May 2019, and the EMR Delivery Body’s second version of the Detailed Application Guidance.
