Contracts for Difference (CfD) AR7a: Sealed Bid Window Reminder

On Tuesday 16 December, NESO submitted the Notice of Auction to all qualified Non-Offshore Wind Applicants in Allocation Round 7 (AR7a), notifying them that an auction will take place.

The Sealed Bid Window for all Non-Offshore Wind technologies will open at 9AM on Monday 5 January 2026, and will close at 5PM on Friday 9 January 2026.

The AR7a Sealed Bid Guidance document, which covers both Offshore Wind technologies and all other Non-Offshore Wind technologies is available on the NESO website within the CfD guidance section.

For further details on the upcoming stages of AR7/AR7a please refer to the Allocation Round Resource Portal and the two published timelines.

Key Dates:

• Monday 5th January, 9am - Sealed Bid Window opens.
• Friday 9th January, 5pm - Sealed Bid Window closes.
