We are pleased to inform you that the Registration Window for Allocation Round 7 of the Contracts for Difference (CfD) scheme will open on 09 July 2025 at 12:00pm.
The indicative timeline for Allocation Round 7 (AR7) is now available on the microsite. We expect to open AR7 for applications in August 2025, and AR7 results are expected to be announced in late 2025 to early 2026.
The government has published the Exemptions Request Notice for Allocation Round 7 (AR7). This notice sets out the procedure that excluded generators must follow if they wish to apply to be exempted from their temporary site exclusion in order to be eligible to participate in AR7. As noted in the timeline, which we have also published today, AR7 is due to open in August 2025.
